Stabbing in Birmingham: 1A Teenager has been found with life-threatening injuries

Birmingham, UK:  A 17-year-old boy remains in hospital after suffering life-threatening injuries in a stabbing in Birmingham city centre on Tuesday evening.

West Midlands Police were called to Victoria Square at around 8:30pm following reports of a serious assault. Officers found the teenager injured at the scene and he was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment. Police have since confirmed that he remains in a stable condition.

Early investigations suggest the incident may have started after a fight broke out between two groups in the busy city-centre location. Detectives are now working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the attack.

A police cordon remained in place on Wednesday morning as forensic officers continued to examine the area and gather evidence. Officers are also reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to potential witnesses.
